The Alleghany Rifle Asso. is hosting a double 3-gun yards SOTY match this Saturday Aug. 6th.
Registration starts at 7:15 am.
Practice from 8:20 to 8:40.
Late comer setup from 8:40 to 8:55.
Match starts at 9:00 am.
For the shooters traveling a distance there is a nice motel in Sparta only a few miles from the range(Alleghany Inn 336-372-2501).
Coffee and Donuts in the AM.
Sandwiches,snacks and cold drinks for lunch.
The weather has been cool here in the mountains.Low sixties in the morning and high seventies in the afternoon.

Even though I didn't have time to shoot I was extemely happy with the match results.
We proved it possible to run a double match and still get the shooters on their way home by 3 o'clock.Next month I hope to do even better.

Congratulations to Bill Pippin for his back to back 3 gun agg wins.
To Don Stith for his back to back 250's in the second match and

Next match is a double on Sept. 3rd.

Congratulations to my buddy Don. Got that Owens built Falcon shooting. Also Kent for that 250 with his sporter and all the other shooters.

Congrats to Bill Pippin and the others on their wins, and some fine shooting! Congrats to Don for shooting those back to back 250's in the afternoon with big X counts too, glad to see it! Congrats to Mike Cameron for shooting his first 250 in sporter class, well done! Good match guys.
We'll do it again!
