Alan Hall 40x complete firing pin assembly

I just recieved my Hall 40X firing pin assembly this morning. Im going to have a gunsmith do the final tweaking on it when he installs my new barrel. It has a lighter firing pin and spring. Has anyone else installed one?

Yep Allan talked me into one a year ago. (Velocity verse a Calfee brute force)
I am assuming your gunsmith understands what he is doing knows how to cut to the correct length and shape?

Thoughts:
Make sure that he checks the clearance on the rear nose of the standard bolt and the firing pin!
Next bevel the sides of the feed ramp. (leading edges)
Call if the above does not make sense. (Hard to explain)

Allan told me some of the very same things that you said. I'm glad that you put the information on here so that other people has an idea of what needs to be done. The gunsmith is one of the best. Allan told me he would be glad to talk to the gunsmith if he has any problems.

Yes,
Gene Davis put one on my Davis 40X/Lilja, about a year ago.Like it more than words can tell.
Jerry Graves,called it a hummer....
