I just recently got a bench rifle, and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it. The receiver says Al Webber Lodi Cal. chambered in 222 rem. the rifle is very heavy.I have seen the info on this rifle on another web site, but I was wanting to know when it was made and by who? This rifle weights about 30lbs.

Its possible that the whole rifle was made by Al but probably just the action.
I have 3 Webers and I have nothing but good to say. If its a big wooden cruiser I probably have its twin and they are fun to work with. While the old 222 cartridge is a little slow and because of that a lot more wind sensitive they are very accurate and enjoyable to shoot. We have a lot more powders to choose from now but you will still find 335 or 4198 will work very well.
Your lucky to have aquired it.
