Airgun BR Plus Rimfire BR Shot at Same Time, Opinion ?

This year I started putting on RBA Rimfire BR matches at my range. We averaged about 10 shooters per event which I thought was pretty good for the first year and only having 5 events. For next year we will start in Feb and hopefully have 8 or more events.

I put on one AGBR match a couple of years ago [ at another range ] and had 3 other shooters show up but I couldn't get anybody to come out for another match. Since River Bend is much closer to Atlanta and has much nicer facilities I am hoping that the metro FT guys might come out plus there is an active smallbore group at this range and many of them have highend AG's.

Now for my question. The range has 18 benches. I am thinking of adding an Airgun class that would be unsanctioned and also fire the RBA target at 50 yds, same as the RF's. Anybody see any issue with firing the AG's and the RF's at the same time? I would put the AG's all on one target frame instead of interspersing them among the RF's.

Sounds good to me ,can be very easily done-back when L.B. was around that's how we did it. but again that was with the BR-50 target ,but every one shot at the same time. good luck with this and i think everyone will have a great time. H.B.

At Holbrook and Pinnacle Mtn. We shoot Rimfire than Airgun. The reason several people shoot both. I have no problem with shooting both at the same time. If you have empty benches maybe have the empty benches between the rimfire and airguns.
Some people might be bothered with all the movement that some airguns require for each shot. I had one dump all it's air durning a match.
Hope you need to run two relays then if people want to shoot both, No problem!

Its a really GREAT idea! That kind of match will for sure do good to offer the rinfire guys some exposure to airguns, and the airgun guys will be able to see for sure how they stack up against the rimfires (at least those with the guts will).

As long as they are on seperate ends of the range, no problem. Just don't put an Air Gun between two RF shooters unless they are shooting the same distance. Be sure eeveryone understands they are seperate.
