I've shot air rifles for years..........and years, but never knew there was benchrest competition. From a brief look, it seems to be score shooting. Is there any group shooting? Can I down load targets, rules, etc? What rifles are considered entry level?

and finally, Who can repair a FWB 124 sporter?:(
Thanks,
BA

Bryan,

I have shooting air rifles in competition for over 25 years. They have come a long way in accuracy. Unfortunately many think of air rifle ad their Daddy's Red Ryder. You rifle is one of the best break barrel spring piston rifles ever made. Most of the competition has moved to scoped PCP pre- charged Pneumatic. Getting 35 to 80 extremely accurate shots from a fill up. The air is free if you purchase a tank at the right shop. They will fill up for free over and over.

Most of the group shootN remains with the Center Fire guys. There are many multi bull targets used by Rim Fire and Air Rifles. I think I may have annoyed some folks with the fact that 5000 rounds of .177 pellets cost 120.00 as compared with the cost of 5000 Eley 10x. If you shoot as much as I do cost is important and my accuracy is equal to any powder burner. I will try and attach a 25 meter target.

Good luck of fixing your 124. The pleasures of shooting or different for everyone. Advice from a father to his son. " just be sure in life, that no one has more fun than you do."

Bryan, great to see the NM flag. Lived in Albuquerque to Mountainair for 23 years before being talked into Texas. A mistake!
Shot a few antelope in your town and did a bunch of BR matches at The NRA range between turkeys, antelope, deer and elk crossing the range causing a cease fire......Wish I was home where the brown skinned beauties and good Mexican food reside.
