want to know if there is a bushing made that will fit into and action wrench for a browning abolt action?

I believe you make what you need. A clamping action wrench with a flat on one side and a radius on the other works fine for me.

Browning A bolt wrenches...

Brownells sells an action wrench for A bolts.

1. Correct me if I am wrong, but were not some in not all the A bolts investment cast actions?

2. Correct me again if I am wrong, are Browning A bolts tenons not glued in as well as threaded?

3. Because of the aforementioned and other reason there are few aftermarket parts available for the Browning A Bolt.

4. What do you bet John Mosses Browning is rolling over in his grave with what they are putting his name on today.

With the parent companies CNC operations in Lexington, SC you would think they would be spitting out billet receivers.

Have a clamping wrench but doesn't fit the brownings, marks them up a lil bit. Just was curious iff they made an insert for them to fit the different actions.

This is the wrench I use with the radius turned down. It goes on a round part of the action and the flat onto a flat part of the action with thick card stock separating the wrench and the action. I heat the action with a propane torch to loosen the Loctite or what ever they use. Some threads are tight all the way off. I use a small disc and grind a witness mark on the lug and action just under the stock line. When I reinstall I use a little 120 compound between the lug and the action and grease between the lug and the barrel to help get the same lug alignment.

Dennis,

Couldn't help but notice the center mark on the wrench handle - you turned the piece flat on a lathe using the face plate? Who does that kind of thing in this day of cheap milling machines... Fun to see.. The offset of the radius from centerline is also interesting, and a good idea.

I use pieces of copper sheet instead of card stock for protecting the action.

Yes I made that 40 years ago on a small Atlas lathe... I never have had a mill...
