I understand that we had some very "tricky" winds although they were light today.
Our good friend Darek Biggs took the Junior Unlimited winnings home today after he had some rest issues that he overcame.
This apparently occurred during his 3rd target & he pulled it out like a Senior shooter (probably better) and had a decent score when he only had 3 minutes left to shoot all his bulls.
Great shooting Darek, everybody sure likes to see you shoot with us in San Angelo.
He shot a 4 target aggregate of 183.25. Good Shooting!
In the Senior Factory Class Darren Krumwiede took 1st place with an aggregate of 182.75 and had the high score on Target 1,2 & 4
John Pormann was 2nd & took the high 3rd target.
David Strothers took 3rd place.
I have to brag a little on Darren's score as I had to fulfill other responsibilities as the San Angelo Gun Club Treasurer and couldn't shoot;
I let him use my rifle and equipment. P.S.: I forgot to tell him he should clean the rifle after the 2nd target. Great Shooting factory guys!
In the Senior Unlimited Class Allen Taylor took the winnings with him back to Boerne. He was back in form after the previous match we
had at San Angelo and took all 4 high targets to come in 1st place with an aggregate of 192.75.
Paul Dyer took 2nd place; with Bill Wynne in 3rd place and our good friend Bill Middlebrook in 4th place.
It was good to see Bill again as they finally found and operated on him recently. Bill get your strength back, we love to see you here!
Let me thank Paul Dyer for acting Match Director; Jim Swaringin who scored the targets and all the rest of you for helping with the match.
You're a great bunch of guys.
The next ABRA match will be Sept. 24, 2016.
See you at the Range,
Ron Herring
