We had our 1st Junior shooter of the year today and he came from Wimberly, TX.
Darek Biggs won the Junior Factory class using a new rifle and did quite well.
HAVE YOU HAD YOUR DUST TODAY? If not, then you didn't shoot with us. Variable winds at 16mph with gusts to 29mph made for some interesting shooting - NOPE - no 190's were shot today!
Other than Darek - we had one other new shooter - Ruben Cantu who shoots silhouette with us at San Angelo as well - looking forward to seeing him come back and shoot with us as well.
Senior Unlimited - High 1st target was a 187 from Bill Middlebrook High 2nd target was a 188 from Mike Kirkpatrick; High 3rd was a 189 which was the high for the day from Paul Dyer.
Paul also shot a 187 on the 4th target as well as taking 1st place in Senior Unlimited.
Senior Factory - Yours truly had the high 1st and 2nd targets with a 180 & then a 171 (notice the score drop off?-the wind did not but picked then); Adrian Morales had the high factory target on the 3rd target with a 182. He also had the high 4th target with a 175. I managed to secure 1st place in the Senior Factory group.
I have attached a copy of the score sheet for your viewing, But before I go - I have to thank Bill Wynne and J.D. Dennis's grandson Hunter for scoring help. After they had to leave, it was in the capable hands of Dale Burnett.
It's good to see and compete with folks who drive so far and we want you to keep coming back - Chuck - Bill Middlebrook - Dale Burnett - Mike Kirkpatrick - we sure enjoy shooting with y'all. Till next time:
See you at the Range,
Ron Herring
