plinking ?

I think it is for 10/22`s , plinking benchrest assn.

Hey Slick,

That may be a good name for the factory class but i'm sure that the guys, gals and youth that will be shooting it won't call it plinking. They will probably think they are driving tacks just like the big boys. I dare say Jimmy Johnson may not have ever made it to NASCAR if it was not for go-kart and late model racing. One of these people starting out with the new Auto Bench Rest Association (ABRA) may become the next Slick Willy. Lord help us ! LOL. - Clint

Joe...

At the bottom of the "Club Registration" Form, it shows the fee as $25.00. I sent you out a check today for the $25.00, so if the fee is $20.00, just hold the other $5.00 until the targets get in and deduct that $5.00 from my target order..

Thanks..

Dave

This is an Air Rifle Bench Rest Association?

Pete

Pete...

This is a new discipline for semi-auto .22 rf. rifles only.. It has two classes, "factory rifles", and that means plain, no gadgets added, factory stock rifle, and an "unlimited" class. Joe has a website, complete with rules and forms.. We are going to try it down here in Florida, along with ARA. After reading the rules, I think that this may draw a lot of shooters, old and young, that do not want to play the "big money" game and still have "fun".. Lets give it a try..

Dave

Thank You!

Just curious, any idea out there as to how many likely participants you hope to attract?

Tim

Our BENCH BUSTERS have been shooting now for five years and we just seem to keep growing, so big we had to move to anther gun range we have a average of 24 adults and 6 kids ,some times more some times less but it always a good turn out everyone is friendly and family oriented and I think that is the key keep it simple and FRIENDLY ever body helps one anther its a blast ,so what I want to do is to duplicate this ten fole with ABRA THANKS

Joe

like

Thanks, but I meant what might be the guess/hope to attract as a sanctioning body.

like Fred said the sky is the limit there are literally millions of 10/22s and 597s out there looking for a platform to shoot in

I do own a 10/22 and a Tactical Solutions AR 22lr , thats what I do with both is plinking! Did talk to Joe and told him we may try ABRA later but we need to push getting every thing else off and running here first, we had already planned a Factory Class match so we recognize where growth in 22BR is lurking!

Hi Pete,
looking briefly the rules, shooting with loaded magazine(s) could create all sorts of challenges with
safety, mechanics of blow-back actions, etc.
Single shot might work might work, however it will take a more time to chamber round, not to mention some rifles can only fire with loaded magazine in place.
Semi's are fun to shoot, though

Safty

These guns are very safe its up to the Match Director and range safety officer to make sure the firing line is SAFE along with the individual bring there fire arm to the bench SAFETY is very a important aspect to any shooting sport and it to be policed by everyone participating .

Thanks Joe

Only when Given Command

At all the shoots I've been to that Joe has run, all magazines were out until the command to load was given. Safety is always his first concern.

Absolutely - further, (since we can't remove bolt), using chamber flag does make SAFE safer yet,
being a positive visual aid to match director, and rest of us shooters as well

Michael

ABRA Targets

Hi Joe,
How much are targets? Where can they be purchased?

Michael

The first shipment will be in the begining of next week, there are $20.00 per hundred plus shipping. At this time we do not have a credit card machine so all transaction will have to be done via check.

Thanks
Joe
