I know they are not benchrest rifles but I dont know where else to ask. Can anybody tell what these rifles are like as far as trigger, barrel weight or contour and accuracy potential. Are they worth $600, thank you

YES THEY ARE. I HAVE ONE THAT I SHOOT IN THE MILITARY CLASSIC event at my gun club and does very well shot a 997 37x with it. Have many friends who have bought the Kimber 82-G and have turned them into benchrest rifles.
The trigger can be taken down if you know what is involved. garrisone.

they are 3P rifles that are easily converted. just like a bunch of the benchrest rifles out there. 40x winny 52 etc. the trigger will usually go to 1# but can be modded to oz's if you have the skill or $$$$ i love mine and shoot ARA with it. accuracy is very good buy most accounts. mine shoots in the zeros at fifty with Lapua Master M.

There is a nice thread on the rimfire central site on how to modify the trigger to get down to 2 oz, I am going to do mine as soon as I can get some time . I actually have a spare trigger group sitting in front of me . as of yet the samllest group shot was .190 with wolf match target off sand bags, I cant buy the high dollar stuff

Ive had my 82 gov. for about a month now. Still figuring each other out. Shot quite a few targets under .200, best so far is .134 with SK standard+. Havnt tried the good ammo yet but am looking forward to it. Only mod so far is tuning the trigger, just by feel to start but when I found my gage it was 1.5 lb. Couple days ago after working several graveyard shifts,(eyes not focusing well and couldnt get real steady), still shot a .267 10 shot group. Lots of fun!
