A question on Bolt timing/trigger timing

I have read in these threads about bolt timing and trigger timing. I would like to understand if bolt (handle) timing refers to the moment that the bolt handle angle contacts the action angle (immidiately behind the bridge) as the bolt lugs are rotated out of engagement (90 degrees) and approach the lug ramps in the action.. kinda wordy, but I wanted to reference each of the angles coming together at a specific point in time to facilitate the unlock and rearward movement of the bolt and extracting of a fired case from the chamber....
Now that we're all confused...(I did my best)...

Does trigger timing refer to the positioning of the trigger (forward/rearward) in the action to increase or decrease firing pin lift? (in/out linear)?
What is the purpose of trigger timing other than increased ignition?

Eddie, kinda late tonight, wait till tomorrow morning(real early),maybe Jim Borden will field this question,I hope so!
