i m going to post this you purists dont get upset. i have a martini mark 5 coming in. first of all i have tried using the martinis i have on mr. pappas s rest the forends dont match up to his machine work.

so i am ordering some walnut pieces and a machinist has a cnc machine and he is going to make a b/r forend for me. i am thinking 18in long with pillar bedding.

he is also making me a weaver type scope mount matching up to the holes drilled for the unertl type bases in order to get close to b/r. the martinis i have shoot very well of course not up to mr. calfee, davis etal but they shoot very well.

these rifles are a joy to shoot and at 25 yards hit where they are aimed and i want to tinker at 50 yards and see what they will do!!

anyone have any thoughts i am not trying to reinvent the wheel just have a little fun.

If you want to have fun and be competitive with your Martinis look into the American Single Shot Rifle Association matches. Their benchrest matches often won by Martinis.

my martinis

well im not like these big hitters that hang around here and shoot perfect scores my hats off to them i cant do it or anywhere near close to those guys but i have a calfee and a davis and the 2 internations 2 s i have get pretty darned close.

the martinis are just a lot of fun to shot. i like the way they flilng those empties over your shoulder.

yes i hang around over there on assra also i now have found replacement scope blocks made by steve earle and now am going to try some modern day scopes on them to just see.
