I saw a rifle today, with a SS barrel, that had the following engraved on the barrel. "A & M Rifle CO. Inc. Match Grade 22 Long Rifle". Does anyone have any information about this company?

A&m

A little-
Located in AZ,not sure of the years...say 60 -70's,maybe before.
One of the A or M part was a small bore prone shooter. He was the first to shoot a short barrel with a bloop tube.He also was the first to use a saw handle grip on a prone rifle....They made great barrels. This came to an end when one of them caught his hand in a lathe.
Not much but a little

This is also a 52B with a SS barrel. It has one of those resessed crowns they used in those days for tuning. Sad part, is it's in a right hand stock and wouldn't help me. Besides, I like my D's better.

A&m

Atkinson & Marquette, later became Atkinson Rifle Co.. Bill Atkinson was the shooter/ barrel maker and his barrels were at the top of the list along with Hart, McMillan, Matco and Shilen in the 60's and 70's. K Kenyon used a lot of his barrels. I'm not sure about A&M address but later Atkinson was out of Precott, AZ.
