A little "light reading" that could benefit your eyes

That's an interesting discovery but....

I believe that since I had lens replacement surgery because of cataracts, I've had the best vision ever in my life. I started wearing spectacles at age 14 when i finally discovered that the world wasn't blurred beyond short distance for everybody. From then on, for more than 50 years, I've needed to compromise my vision correction to accommodate the type of shooting & other sports I participated in & really got hell when presbyopia (the other element of lens aging) started to kick in 10 or so years ago.

Now, I carry off the shelf spectacles to clear up vision from point blank to a tad more than arm's length & see without correction from there on.

What we need is some product to prematurely age lenses in myopic eyes so that lens replacement can be carried out sooner. :D

Boyd,

Is there a way for the common layman to parse out "natural antioxidant imidazole-containing amino acid-based compounds, chaperone, and glutathione boosting agents" and actually figure out what we might ingest that's beneficial?

There is. What I do, since this is definitely above from and different from my areas of study, is to highlight the word or phrase that I want information on, then right click, and when the list drops down, choose look up on Google, is my designated search engine. You can also search on Pubmed for additional article summaries. For starters Google L-carnosine. That was where I started from. There is a lot to read, much of it encouraging.
