92 Taurus Mags

Friend has an old Taurus 92 and says it has a different position for the mag release than the Berreta and the new Taurus 92's. Question will new maufacture clips work in the old Taurus. He says new mags go in but don't lock in place. Whats the shuddlebut on this and do you know where he can get proper clips? Thanks STBE

I have no idea what the answer to your question is , just wanted to say when I saw the title I thought someone wast trying to sell alloy wheels from a 1992 Ford. I was going to delete thread as not appropriate. Obviously I was wrong.
