Has anyone ever come up with any definitave info on Lot AAC 122910 of 8208.
Simply... My best year ever with this powder.... IT AGGS..!
Dirty, yes but it's amazing to me that the loads keep shooting beyond 20 rounds... I typically clean after every other match (10-15 rounds) and here with patches... 2 foulers and it's back to exact POI...
This in 5 different 6PPC barrels, 3 Kriegers, 1 Bartlein, 1 Shilen. Three rifles all LV/SP.. No difference.. All barrels "perked UP"..!
Really love the tune "ability" of this stuff... Smooth and wide. 29.5gr for most bullet weights at 3420 - 3440fps.. "Dry" conditions tune while going down on the load from a 29.5gr load.... "Wet" conditions... Go up... 45% humidity is the dividing line... Not too temp sensitive... This is where this AAC lot is WAY different than the REAL IMR8208 powder.. Shoots very well in cool wet conditions.... Some though disagree on this (Real IMR 8208 shooting well in cool wet conditions) but it's what I have found year in year out...
Recently screwed a FINE Pacnor 22PPC barrel on my LV gun and tried the AAC 122910 lot in it................. Holy Cow...!
