If you are referrring to the new XBR, it is simply too slow. Maybe 2800 fps tops. It would start working in the Wolf Pup by just breaking 3000 fps, which is still not considered much velocity since that case runs around 3200 fps typically.

I was thinking about 150 grain bullets. I have a 12 twist Ross
 
I would give it a try then. Making pressure with 150gr bullets should be doable. Now the burn rate could be close to perfect.

With the AA2015BR powder what do you think is the optimum bullet weight for the 30BR in a 1/17 barrel?

The 125 to 135 gr bullets will work with 2015 in the 17" twist. I have used 118 gr bullets with some success at 30 BR capacity, but you have to put around 37 gr. just to reach 2970 fps.
