Anyone had any experience with Retumbo with 7mm Dakota. I've been shooting RE-22, and was interested in trying Retumbo with the 168 Bergers. Rifle is V-action Nesika, 28" 9 twist Kreiger barrel. I been hunting with 150Sirocco's, but had been giving some thought to the Bergers. I've been going to Canada, and would like to try the Hodgon powders as they are advertised to be temperature stable. I know that there are loads in new Hornady book, and also older Barnes book for H-1000, and H-4831, but I have not tried them. Thanks in advance for any input. Regards, Waverly McNeill

I've tried Retumbo in two different cartridges, a 300 Jarrett and a 7-300wsm. I've had better luck with RL-25 in both. The .300 shot 175's at 3,400fps and the 7-300wsm shoots 180's at 2,900fps. The .300 drove tacks in it's day, the 7-300 is driving them now. The only rifle I've seen Retumbo work in was a .300RUM shooting 210 VLD's. I've no 7mm Dakota info, just offering what I have. Good luck.
