700 Sendero question

I decided to get a Remington 700 Sendero for hunting since my benchrest rifles are not very "tactical". The 700 Sendero 7mmRM looks like a very nice rifle but the trigger was the first thing to be replaced, it felt like #&it compared to a Jewell. So, I installed an HVBR Jewell trigger and it is like night and day, I highly recommend the switch.

My question is: The rifle I received was theoretically "NIB (New in Box)" from the factory. The first thing I did when I got it home was to clean it. The barrel was filthy. I used a borescope and could see a little copper and powder residue. Does the factory test fire these rifles before they go out the door??? Thanks.
