Anybody shooting a 7.5 twist in a 6mm BR? If so, what bullets are you shooting and what powder is working?
Thanx in advance,
Chino69

i'm shooting a krieger 7.5 twist on a Panda action using 31.5 gr. Varget with 105gr berger VLDs just into the lands. shoots really good in my gun. no signs of pressure.

That's what mine is; a Kreiger. I just ordered some 105 grn. Bergers. What distances are you shooting at and what kind of groups are you getting?

I just built a 6BRX with a 7.5 twist Kreiger but haven't had time to work it over with varied bullets yet. I emailed Walt at Berger and he didn't recommend their 115 VLD in a 7.5 twist. I have read about people using them successfully though. I'd also thought about the 115 DTAC. I'm starting with 105 and 108 Bergers and the 107 Sierra. We'll see where I wind up. I'll be interested in watching this thread. I have hopes for the 115 just to be doing something different.

500 yds. is about the farthest i've shot so far, if i remember it was like a 2.5 or 3 in. group, not to bad considering i was shooting without wind flags and over a canyon. i shot in the Lone Star Shootout this past april and placed 7th out of 60 shooters at 400 yds. was beat by some 6.5x284s, but there were also alot of 6.5x284s behind me.
the Sierra 107gr MKs also shoot very well out of my gun, but i think the bergers are just a little bit better. i'm planning on getting some of the new 95gr MKs to see how they shoot, should get a little more velocity.
i've tried RL15, it shot good but it powder fouled my gun up something terrible, also tried H4895 it was descent, but Varget has been the cleanest and most consistent powder so far.

ttt Let's hear some more answers for Chino69. I'm interested too.

7.5 twist 6mm BR

Well, I've bought Hornady 105 grn. A-Maxes, Lapua 105 grn. Scenars, Sierra 107 grn. Match Kings and Berger 108 grn. bullets. Load development will have to wait awhile but I'm counting on the 7.5 rate of twist to stabilize all the above. I have some 95 grn. Bergers I intend to try as well.

Keep us informed of what you find to work best in that twist. Thanks!
