Hey guys,
I was wondering if I should neck turn before or after necking 300 WSM brass down to 7mm. I will be necking the cases down in increments with a Redding neck sizer. Also, this will be for a .314" neck 7/300 wsm chamber.

The easiest way to neck down the .300 WSM to 7mm is to use a regular full length die. That makes it a one pass operation. I built a 7mm/300 WSM before Winchester came out with the 7mm WSM and Redding was making dies for it at that time. I'd check with them to see if they happen to have any full length dies in stock.

In answer to your question, I'd neck turn after necking down. It would be better after the first firing, but with a tight neck chamber, you probably wouldn't be able to do that.
