6x47 Barrel length?

Can anyone recommend the optimum barrel length for heavy 6mm bullets at 600 yds? I know short range BR calls for short stiff barrels, but longer ranges need more velocity. Is there any consensus on a practical compromise?

I think most would say 28-31" is where everyone seems to be. Any less and you lose velocity, any more and you reach the point of diminishing returns, more barrel whip, more bullet in barrel time, bullet jackets heating up more, nose heavy gun.. Personaly I like 30-31" then after a the throat starts to get rough, cut 2" off.
