6PPC to 30 BR?

I have the opportunity to purchase a rifle chambered in a 6 PPC, but was told that I could not buy a 30 BR barrel and put it on this action. Is that true? The action would be a Kelby Grizzly or BAT. Thanks in advance
 
There are the 30PPC and my 30 Major cartridges with ppc bolt faces. the 30 Major is essentially a 30ppc-.075 long. Either would make a good option for a person that has a ppc that doesn't want to open his bolt face.The beauty seems to be great accuracy and less recoil than the BR and the same velocities. ---Mike Ezell
 
buy an extra bolt with the .308 face from either of those 2 mfr. then you could go back to a ppc and it would be easier to sell with the PPC bolt instead of a .308 also
