Today, both the NBRSA and IBS banned the 6PPC and 30 BR from all registered benchrest competition. Insiders said it was a bow to the politically strong "experimenters wing" of the benchrest community. Also mentioned in the surprise announcement was that the 6PPC was singled out as BORING. Some close to these decisions cited equipment lists showing the the redundant 6PPC as not supporting diversity in our shooting sport.

Oh ye devoted to the short squat case you have a venue to sling the little pills downrange. The most forward looking of benchrest sanctioning bodies, All Latitudes and Longitudes Benchrest Shooters (ALLBS) still allow these banned cartridges to compete! We just need to find a range to host an ALLBS match...our schedule will be printed on April 1, 2011.

about time!! Closet .22 shooter.

At last we get approval..

At the same time, of the 6mmPPC demise, both the NBRSA and IBS have approved
our new Bench Rest 3mmBR LaPua [.12 Caliber] for match competition.
We will also be allowed to fire the titanium/lead alloy Scenar bullets thru an air evacuated conduit from bench to target.
Happy days are here again!!

I also heard that if you show up to the range with more ammo than the shooter next to you, you will be taxed and have to give him some of your ammo so its all "fair". Kind of a social justice type of thing.

Rumor has it

They are going to approve the 88 MM Howie for hunter class too.:D

Wind bucking

I thought maybe we should consider the 600ppc or a 600br for the wind bucking abilities.:p
Maybe with a 48" barrel. Hey maybe we could even make it in a rimfire and shoot both competetions.:D
