Factory chamber
Dick--I suspect Sako did that by design as they controlled the ammo as well as the guns being chambered. I am sure they did not want someone chambering their factory ammo into a custom PPC. It would become one heck of a crimped neck. If you use a turned case into the USA chamber, you have a lot of radial clearance but it will shoot safely. You reverse that--put a factory loaded unturned USA cartridge in a custom PPC and it is a recipe for disaster. Remember that most people were using .262 necks in their ppc at that time. In terms of just the brass case you are absolutely correct. Randy J.
