It a simple question, I am putting a new benchrest rifle together and was interested in responses. It will be a 17 lb gun , I have a Bat SB action, #17 Kreiger Barrel. Its time for me to decide the caliber. Thanks

If you are planning on 1000 yard shooting, I would build a Dasher. The extra you get seems to help a little. Both of these are really accurate but the 1000 yard is dominated by Dashers. Matt
 
+1 on what Matt said, Dies are easy to get for the Dasher but don't be using a short free bore if you plan to shoot 600 or 1000 yds. with the 105,104 and 103 bullets use .130 -.150 free bore..... jim
 
With a Brux barrels i use i have been using a 7.83 to 1 and i will now try a 8 to 1 and see ....... jim
