I just recieved my dies and components from Sinclair: L.E. Wilson seater marked 6mm br, but the Redding fl bushing sizing die is marked 6 mm br Remington. I went back to Sinclairs website and under rifle dies there is only a category for 6mm br rem nothing for 6mm br Norma. I am wondering at this point if they are interchangeable.

6BR Norma vs 6BR Rem.

JohnathanK: The die manufacturers, for some reason refuse to properly label their 6BR die boxes as 6BR Norma, which they are. The 6BR Remington ctg had a case length of 1.520", while the Norma/Lapua is 1.560". The case head diameter on the Norma/Lapua is approx. .002" larger dia. than the Remington, all designed so the Norma/Lapua would not "fit" into the Remington chambering. They had to change the dimensions to avoid patent infringement, so technically it is a "different" cartridge, but all modern die sets are made for the Norma/Lapua brass, and your Redding die set (and mine, also bought from Sinclair) will and do work fine.

If you have a Remington Custom Shop 40X in 6mmBR Remington, what components should you use to load? Brass etc.
