ive been using these bullets for last 5 years, started getting low on supply so
i bought lot number 2070711 13 boxes, had to send them back, never
measured bullets this bad but the i called hornady up and talked with some woman who got sarcastic ,whats goin on there, i love these bullets

anyone else have this problem

I had a couple of bad boxes of 6mm sxsp's and they replaced them quick with no questions asked. This was several years ago. And was the same year they first brought out the V-max. Never had a bad box of V-max's. Call again and see if you get some one different. Also, what is measuring bad about them...have you shot them for group?

hornady bullets

i was measuring with dial calipers and davidson comparator from base to ogive
then using two sets of davidson camparators for bearing surface
ive got some old lots and they all measure within 2 thousands ,ive also got 75 grain vmax all older lots this is very un like the bullets from the past
im gonna call hornady again and see if i can talk to a different person

wish me luck

kman,
I'm not sure the way you are measuring them matters when you are shooting them. You are seating them from the ogive and not the base. How do the shoot? Even BR bullets measure different from time to time.

Do any of you guys know if Sierra makes the 85 gr, Hollow Point Boat Tail anymore? Anyone shoot them?
