I have a Littleton (same-same Musgrave) action in a Shehane stock. I have an extra barrel chambered for 6BRX. It is a 1-12 twist, and is 23.5" long. What is the max bullet weight and approximate max distance to accurately shoot that combination? And what twist and bullet weight would be appropriate for 1000 yds?
Thanks

I have a wildcat close to the BRX. I use Randys 95 grain flat based bullets in the 6mm. But I only use them to 600 yards they work great and all the tables I have say they should stay supersonic to 1200 yards. I just haven't used them at 1000 yet. My barrel is a 10 twist and it works great for the 95 fb Bib's. I would venture to say you might get up to the 85 grain range with that 12 twist. If you need to go to the 107ish bullets, go to a 8.5 twist.

Thanks, Guys
I may just screw that barrel on and use it in a short range BR unlimited match for giggles......I normally don't shoot UL.
