Is there any diffrence with dies in 6BR Rem and the 6BR Norma
I have found Rem Dies but cannot find Norma ones. I am running a long throat for 108gr..??

Cheers

there is a difference in case size, the web on the Norma case is bigger than on the Remington.

I still use the Redding Competition dies for my 6mm BR Remington, expensive but worth every penny.

usually in stock at Sinclairintl.com

I might be wrong, but I don’t think that dies labeled as 6BR Norma, that are made commercially, exist. The current 6mm BR Rem. Brass and brass from Norma and Lapua can almost always be used interchangeably. Up until 1989 the 6MM BR Rem. was basically a wildcat cartridge and had a case length of 1.520 (trim 1.510). In 1989 Remington standardized the cartridge and the length was changed to 1.560 (trim 1.550). For that reason, that is why you see on a box of Remington 6MM BR ammo a warning that it will not fit in a 6MM BR chamber. I agree with Dansig on the use of the Redding Competition Dies. I use their Type S Full Length die sets. I have four 6MM BR’s and a set of dies for each. The best way to go of course would be a custom made die, where you send off some fired cases, to a person such as Harrell’s or JLC Precision.
