64 MPR Combination ??

So recentley I bought a 64MPR. It's my first Annie and the owners manual dosn't say ANYTING (unless I'm overlooking it) about the little bolt release lever. I've managed to remove and reinstall my bolt once but wasn't quite sure what magical combination I finally found to get the bolt to slide in. Just depressing the release lever dosn't seem to do it. Is the sear position (cocked or uncocked) critical for the bolt release to actuate properly?

The bolt removal and installation requires you to pull back the trigger while pushing forward on the bolt release lever with the left hand. Then the bolt can be removed with the right hand. Installation is the same proceedure. However, keep in mind that the bolt is a two piece assembly. So, don't turn the front of the bolt or it will not slide back in until repositioned. Make sense?

Crystal clear. Thanks for the info. You just have to push the bolt a little harder than I expected. Since I wasn't positive regarding the trigger positon I wanted to ask before being more forecefull. Thanks for your help.
