64 MPR and Targets

Hello, everyone. I've been a lurker on this forum for some time now, contributing little, but learning a lot. I thought I'd share some photos of my Anschutz 64 MPR and some targets. The stock is original, but the dimpleing on the grip was filled with Bondo, sanded, primered, and 3 coats of a "hammered" finish spray paint. Nothing fancy, but then again, the wood was quite plain. The grommets on the barrell is something that I've been playing with for the past month. The idea is to remove or reduce barrell harmonic. I came across the idea from a poster on rimfireshooting.com. who claims to have had great success. The targets were all shot with the grommets in place. Each target has 3 shots at 50 yards. The target in the upper left is my best to date, while the target in the lower right, well it speaks for itself. The action is sitting on the pillars that came with the rifle, but has also been epoxy bedded.

Althought I'm not a pure dyed in the wool benchrest shooter, I thought I'd share my pride and joy. Thanks

Ken

Nice work on the stock, and on the targets, it likes that wolf MT! It is a shooter. They have a sweet trigger don't they? I don't know why you aren't a BR shooter, all you have to do is what you are doing with only a one shot group 25 times:cool: Regards
