What primers are you folks having the best success with? Will start my load development with Varget, and 105 A-Max bullets. Down a Shilen 28" standard varmint barrel 1 in 8" twist.

I use Fed. 205M, 105 Bergers and Varget. I have used 450 CCI, but like the Federals better. James Mock

Prefer CCIBR4's and CCI450's with the 8 twists and 105 to 108 bullet weights. Varget and H4985 powders.

Federal 205 & 205M's with the 14 twists, maximum bullet weight 70 grs., N133 powder.

From what I've been reading here and there, I believe I will start With 3, 100 count boxes, CCI450 CCIBR4 and FED205M in that order.

good luck finding primers....
tho i think graf and sons has the listed ones..

One of my 6mm BR is a Savage Long Range Bench Rest with 1 in 8" twist. With 29.5 Varget, Lapua cases, Berger 108 boat tail match, and Federal 205m's, I got great accuracy from the get go and have had no reason to change yet. Some folks use 30.5 grains of Varget for F-class out to 600 and more. I'm going to try my load out to that distance and only change if I have to. No sense messing with it while it's working.

I shoot 87 gr, 90 gr and 95 gr bullets in a 10 twist. Varget and 8208XBR powder. I use 205Ms and have had no primer piercing issues. This out of a custom action with a small firing pin. Memory fails, but I believe it is 62 or 67 thou.

This is for hunting and a 300 yard varmint match.
