6.5x55 twist rate and accuracy

I have a Tikka T3 with 1-8 twist. Is that too fast for hunting bullets in the 120-130 gr. range? So far I haven't found the sweet spot for light bullets. Suggestions? Would using Barnes bullets with greater length improve grouping?

129 gr Hornady SP over a stiff load of R22 shoots real well in my 1/8 hart barreled 6.5x55. You should have no trouble with 100 gr bullets and up that can be blamed on the twist as far as I can tell from my experiance with mine.

Joe S, do you have any idea of the velocity of your load? How is your accuracy? I am considering this for 1000 yd F Class.

The velocity is just over 2750 fps with a 24" barrel, accuracy runs moa or better for five shots. This is a hunting rifle not a heavy barreled bench rifle.
