What barrel length will give max velosity? I have 30 inch barrel that has 551 rds as a 6.5-284. Will have some barrel cut off and rechambered to 6.5x47. Would 28" be enough or would 29" be better? Your opinion needed.
 
Using a 28" barrel, I get +/- 2970 with a 130g Berger or JLK and Varget powder.

Just fast enough for me... ;)
 
Using a 29" barrel-2850 fps with 140 gr Berger VLD RL 15
Doing well for me
