Looking for information on across the coarse equipment and Mach rules basically what,when,how and where JOHN59
 
I have been shooting a 6.5x47 for over a year now, what specifically would you like to know?
 
Hay walker , anything and everything i'm new to this kind of precision. I used to shoot allot & reload pistol , rifle 308,30-06,223,22,45,44,357 . The 6.5x47 is new for me in fact i'm still waiting for mine. It is basically a tac. Rig i describe in other john59 threads i'm setup to reload and have a fair understanding of the basics i need someone to point me in the right direction and maybe help along the way....john59

Visit www.6mmbr.com and review the guns of the week section. There are several great write ups on the 6.5x47 and probably the best spot for you to start with general info.

I have been alternating between the 130 Berger and 130 JLK, both shoot very well, and using Varget and H4350. I have found the case likes the CCI 450 primers the best, not sure why, but feed her what she likes. I am using Krieger 8 twist barrels, 28" long, in a f-class gun, and getting right at 2950 fps.

The cartridge has little recoil, and is easy to keep in tune.

IMO, its a winner!!
