What is the popular freebore length for 130-142 grain bullets.
I have a .175 freebore from Pacific Tool and was thinking that it is too long for 130 Bergers. Any thoughts?

its too long. got to 6mmhot.com. they have three different reamer specs for different bullets. they suggest .090 freebore for the 130 berger. they used a .125 freebore reamer and the bearing surface was half way up the neck.

You will have the bearing surface about half way up the neck with the .175 reamer.
I have the .160 reamer and shoot the 120-142gr bullets with bullets seated into the lands.

I just got a new one with .140 to use with 123 scenars, the break
at the boat tail is just above the shoulder junction.
