Trying to decide between two calibers; 6BR Vs 6.5x284. Looking at the same rifle, a Savage F class model w. the BR stock. Most of my shooting is under 200yds, but have access to 600yds, so I can shoot w. the long range guys.
I know the 6.5 burns out the bbls. faster , is great for long ranges; and the 6BR is milder and very accurate in the 300-600 ranges. What makes it tempting too , is that I can get the 6.5 cheaper by $250,
but I already have dies and brass/bullets for the 6BR. But I would need 6.5 dies brass/bullets, etc. So it is almost a 'wash'.
Any suggestions from you shooters who have experience with both??
