6.5 X 47 Barrel length

Considering having a tactical repeater rifle built in the 6.5 X 47 caliber and need some advice on a barrel length to go with. I will get an 8 twist to handle bullets from 120 to 140 grain weight. Your advice is appreciated. Thanks, runningbear.

What kind of velocity are you looking to get? I am running a 26"/8.5 with 123gr Scenars @2990fps if it helps.

ptd, thanks for your input on the barrel length. The velocity you mentioned is where I wanted to be but didn't know how much barrel I would need to get there.
