6.5 mm Super

I was reading on the Krieger barrels website, and came across a 1000 yd. target shot with a 6.5mm Super. I've found that it is a 6.5-284 "Improved", and was wondering if it is just the shoulder angle change and blown out a little, or if there are any other case changes. If someone has specs they're willing to share that would be great. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks, JKM.

I believe that was the case Bob Crone designed. I don't remember the particulars. If it was a 6.5 on the 284 case, Bob went to a 6mm on the 6BR case (& modified)a year or so after he made the modified 6.5/284 case.

I don't believe Bob did his own chambering, but I also don't remember who fit his barrels. If this is Bob's chambering, your best bet might be to get up with on of the older F-class shooters.

Contact Rich De

Rich De shoots one. Do an advanced search for member Rich De and it might have his contact information. Rich chambers his own rifles. He's a fine fellow and I would bet He will give you some particulars.
