I am working with a 6.5x47L and want to try the Berger 140 g. bullets for distance out to 1000yds. Bergers web site lists 3 different 6.5mm 140g. target bullets. The BT, VLD and "Target BT Long Range". I'm familiar with the BT and VLD but what is a "target BT long range"? I've tried to reach their tech department without luck. What is the best bet for my use?
BTW I see that Sinclair lists 12 bullet packs in different Berger bullets. I'm giving the 130g. weight a try too...

The "Target BT Long Range" has the same exterior profile as the BT. However, jackets are thicker to keep bullets from blowing up in flight.

Hello,
My name is Melesia Cisneros I am part of Berger Bullets Marketing Department. I am sorry to hear that you were unable to reach our Tech Department. Their number is 714-447-5458 and you can also email your questions to bergerltd@aol.com. To answer your question: Our BT Long Range bullets were designed for long distance competitive target shooters. These bullets are made with extra long tangent ogives. This gives these bullets the combined advantage of a high BC while at the same time, they are easier to make shoot than bullets with a secant ogive. The BT Long Range bullets are a recent addition to our line, but they have already proven themselves by setting records and winning major competitions all over the world. Please let me know if you need any further assistance, you can email me at melesia.cisneros@bergerbullets.com. Have a great day and Happy Shooting!!
