Congratulations to Nick Brown for shooting a new range group record measuring .904 inches for 5 shots in our third match. Nick normally shoots his 300 WSM, but only brought enough rounds for the first two matches because he needed to leave early for another event. Since we finished our first 2 matches earlier than usual, Francis Dunlap was gracious enough to offer for Nick to shoot one of his two 6-47 Lapua rifles he brought with him. Bad decision on Francis’ part as he had the previous group record of .947. As you can see in the attached pictures, Nick would have had an even better group if it weren’t for the two flyers that hit just to the right of the other three bullet holes. Darn flyers!
We also had three scores of 50 shot; by Charlie Sutters in matches 1 and 2, and by Francis Dunlap in match 3.
