I was recently lucky enough to receive an unmolested 52D with CMP papers in a trade deal. I am now set to add smallbore to my competition schedule. Any suggestions on adjusting the trigger or looking for a scope? I would like to choose a suitable scope but am not made of gold either. Input appreciated

Have Butch Hongisto modify the trigger, and check with Danny Killough for a Weaver 36X. McMillan and Kelby both make great benchrest stocks. Shoot it untill you've learned the ropes, and upgrade the barrel, if you ever shoot it out. They have some of the best factory barrels around. For the best results, have the receiver drilled anf tapped for the scope. Bases and rings of all types are available. Give us some idea, about where you want to compete.

Rick:

I have a 52-C & D with the factory Micro-motion trigger that I have adjusted down to 6-8 oz. and it appears to be safe. Been shooting the 52C since BR-50 days.
If you don't want to adjust your trigger, you might contact M.H. Canjar, 6510 Raleigh Street, Arvada, CO. 80003, 303-295-2638. They make a Model 52C-LP trigger for the 52C, D & E that adjusts from 2 -12 oz.

Hope this helps..

I don't think your going to have much luck with Canjar.
