I have a Winchester 52C with a 20X Lyman sitting in my gun safe for over 35 years now. It's time to sell!! It has all the acessories (palm rest, sling, and two butt plates one curver one straight. The peep sights I sold years ago. This gun and scope are in beautiful comdition probably 95%+. What i want to know does it hurt value if Walter Womak built it. It has a Womak 400 barrel on it. Fit and finish are to say perfect is not doing it justice. He must of been a great gunsmith. What is this gun worth? Should I sell it or hang on to it ( it may be doing better than my tanked 401K plan)?

Lets assume the Lyman is an STS and not an All American 20X. The scope alone is worth more than you paid for the entire rig 35 years ago.

A Womack rifle will bring a premium to the right collector, but reduce any collector value to a Winchester 52C fan.

My opinion. If you need money to eat sell it. If not take it to the range once a year and take her for a drive, wipe her off and put it back in the safe. You are holding history in your hands. bob

The scope is a Lyman Super Target Spot still have the rubber eye shade although some surface cracks are on the eye shade.
