THIS IS IT!!! Saturday, May 28th will conclude our series of WRABF Qualify rounds at Pinnacle Mountain.

Start Time will be at 9:00 A.M. with the Gates opening by 8.

We will be shooting 6 Targets to allow for Qualify in more than one Class. I am leaving it up to you as to what order you shoot your targets: LV/HV-B, HV-B/LV, all LV, all HV-B, or even alternating Classes target-to-target, but targets will be marking prior to the start of the First Relay as to what Class they are for, so you will need to decide how you want to approach this prior to receiving your targets.

These 6-Target matches typically run for around 5 hours, so please bring your own lunch or light snacks as there will be no food available at the range, but as always there will be a good selection of soft drinks and water available for a small donation from the Clubhouse refrigerator.

And finally, it is now Black Fly Season so make sure to bring along the Repellent of your choice.

If you have any questions or need directions, feel free to contact me by emailing: dashattuck@gmail.com, or calling: 978-877-8482 and I will get back to you as soon as I can. And please, if you are thinking of coming while relying on your GPS to get here, that just ain’t gonna happen, so you had better contact me about getting a hard copy of the directions before it is too late.

See you on Saturday, and good luck,

Dave Shattuck

David,
Will be back from Maine and ready to shoot both classes. Yes it's black fly season in Maine also. Now when a 12 fpe pellet hits a couple of black flies on the way to the target. It just bounces off. Thats my story and i'm sticking to it.
See you Sat.

Paul, if you manage to hit a fly and it bounces it into the 10 ring will that be acceptable :)

Bill, The black flies this year are bigger than most birds. If you hit one with a pellet no way will the pellet reach the target.

Maybe rather than Repellent we should all think about bringing blood transfusions? Or, would that be considered "DOPING"?

Along with the Black Flies there's the mosquitoes which are also out in full force. And they too are much larger, and hungrier, than normal after the long, cold winter we had. Kind of like what you read about up in Alaska! How big are they you ask? Think of small Dragonflies or Hummingbirds and you won't be too far from it. At least that's what it seems like when they're biting you. But, then again, that could simply be because of the numbers they're throwing at you.

Now, should I even mention the Ticks? Around home they're going so far as to drop on you from out of the trees!

What a Spring! This year has been, and will continue to be brutal!

Oh yea, what a time we'll have on Saturday. Between the flying bloodsuckers, creepy crawlies, parasites, 80+° weather, high humidity along with the impending Thunderstorms, all of which should come together right about the time I call: "Guns to the Line", it's gonna be quite the match!

All kidding aside though ....it's still gonna be wicked!:eek::eek:

I think "doping" is against the rules. According to Lance Armstrong, it's hidden way in the back of the rule book.

Best of luck to you guys!!!!
