I have a Rem 40x and I would like to put the barreled action in a synthetic stock. Would appreciate several names to follow up on. Thanks

lilguy-I put one of Tom Manners carbon fiber stocks on my 6.5-.284 and very fond of it. He has a site on line. V/R GF

I might ask what kind of shooting you plan to do the the 40X.
Reason is this: fiberglass stocks are difficult/impossible to modify in some instances. I once owned a fiberglass stocked 40X and finally ditched it because it was impossible to modify the stock to suit my needs.
If that is not an issue, enjoy your new stock.

Why don't you shop for a factory synthetic. They work great and you should be able to just skim bed it.
