40X trigger adjustment

i have a 40X trigger in my 700, I have turned the little screw all the way in and all the way out till it stops and the the trigger pull is still hard as heck to pull. Any ideas?

You need to photograph the trigger and post it. The 40X used more than one style of trigger and they were adjusted differently.
