What is the major barrel thread dia. on a 40Xb rimfire action? Also what is done to accurise these actions? My bolt has about .011" slop in the rear ring should it be sleeved?
Barrel tenon is 1 1/16" (1.0625) X 16tpi. I usually true these actions up with the Dave Manson tap mandrel system which cuts the receiver threads .010" oversize and make facing cut on the front of the action. I like a slightly loose thread fit so I'll cut the tenon to 1.060"-1.065"
