40x need help

OK i been looking at all the 40x and stuff i dont get what the cmp is and i would like to know about this and can u buy a aftermarket 40x action and just get the stock trigger barrel and put it together ur self than getting a 40x and than replacing the rest with aftermarket parts thanks

There are 40X clone actions available from various sources around 900 up
Various triggers about 175 on up
Various stocks 200 on up
Various barrels 300 on up
Various scopes mounts and rings 450 on up
Various smithes to install barrel on action 300 on up
Various smithes to stock barreled action 300 on up
Or purchase one through the classified section already set up.
Not trying to be flippant just the basics, due a search of the forum for 40x and all kinds of info will be brought up, Including many answers to your basic questions in depth.
If you have the skill set and equipment , yes you can DIY.

are the clone action just as good as the 40x itself or is the 40x action better just wounding because i want to get a benchmark barrel a jewell trigger and a benchrest stock so on the i only would really be using the action stuff so i wanted not try to find a cheaper 40x in good shape and just get the clone one
