My advice, don't do it, if I remember they cost $275+22.95?, and when they say stripped, they mean stripped. About 4 or 5yrs ago CMP had them for $125, so I bought 4, they all came complete minus the bolt, two of them even had triggers, and at that time Dave Kiff made bolts for $125ea, so for $250 I had a 40X. over a year ago i heard that CMP had some 40x stripped barrelled receivers so I ordered four, price was $200+22.95. So I just waited and about June the Fedex truck arrived with a short box, I was a little excited but became less enchanted because this time there was no bolt stop and no ejector, but not much I could do about it. I called Dave Kiff and asked if he would consider another run of 40X rimfire bolts and to my surprise he said yes and I ordered four. I ordered the ejectors direct from Remington, about $25ea and set out to find the bolt stops and springs. Wendell had the springs, about $10ea, but no bolt stops. i did locate four bolt stops from various sources, ended up costing me about $15ea. After I got the stops I found out that Remington would sell them direct to FFL's for $3.60ea, but too late to do me any good. About a week ago I finally got the bolts from Dave Kiff, but he had to raise the cost due to everything else prices only go up, this time they were $225ea. kiff's work is way above par, so you really can't complain, the bolts are exceptional, a lot more complicated than a CF bolt. So anyway, I think I have about $515ea invested and to my dismay, the CMP announces 40X's for $475+22.95, I don't think I did too good, but who knew? Thanks, Douglas
